This is a great reminder, Jazak Allah khayr. All too often we complain about little things in our lives - silly things, like a flat tire, or something broken in the house, or too much traffic on the street, or the dinner is not exactly how we like it. We forget about the tremendous trials and hardships that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) had to deal with only in order to deliver the message, not for any self-interest. How grateful we must be to him!

Thank you shaykh Hamza for this amazing description. we are terribly in need of recalling Prophet Mohammad's patience specially when there are some brothers and sisters who who avoid talking and expressing their ideas and attitudes because they feel that they can't stand other's objection. they should be proud of their being Muslims and tell others about their great religion and be patient in calling to Allah and Islam as once did Our Great Teacher Mohammad peace be upon him and his progeny.السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته

Yes, indeed, our beloved was THE most patient of men and Shaykh Hamza describes it beautifully here. There is much we can learn from the seerah, one of my favourites is the story of the woman who abused the Prophet (saw) every time he passed and never did he (saw) say or do anything - until she didn't do it on one occasion and he asked after her to see if she was ok!! Subhanallah, the patience shown here for me is spectacular as i am sure we all would react rather differently .

Thanks for the post brother.

Btw, you were right about Facebook! i have deleted my personal page!
